Requirements ================================================================================ - Chelsio - T4 10/1Gb adapter 2. How to Use ================================================================================ 2.1. Installation ---------------------------------------- There are 2 methods to install the Chelsio Unified Wire. a. Installation from src ---------------------------------------- i. Download the Tarball ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x.tar.gz ii. Untar the Tarball # tar -xvf ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x.tar.gz iii.Go to the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x directory Build the source using : # make Install the drivers, tools and libraries. # make install a.1 Installation of iWARP drivers with OFED-X.Y.Z package --------------------------------------------------------- i. Download the Tarball ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x.tar.gz ii. Untar the Tarball # tar -xvf ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x.tar.gz iii.Go to the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x directory Build the source using : # make OFA_DIR=/usr/src/ofa_kernel Install the drivers, tools and libraries. # make OFA_DIR=/usr/src/ofa_kernel install iv. Reboot machine for changes to take effect. b. Installation from RPM (tar-ball) ---------------------------------------- i. Download the Tarball specific to your operating system and architecture. ii. Untar the Tarball e.g. for RHEL 6.0, untar using the following command: # tar -xvf ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x-RHEL6.0_x86_64.tar.gz iii.Go to the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x directory. Install the rpms. # ./install.sh iv. Reboot machine for changes to take effect. 2.2. Uninstallation ---------------------------------------- There are 2 methods to uninstall the Chelsio Unified Wire. a. Uninstallation from src ---------------------------------------- i. Go to the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x directory. Uninstall the source using the following command: # make uninstall b. Uninstallation from RPM (tar-ball) ---------------------------------------- i. Go to the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x directory. Uninstall the rpms using the following command: # ./uninstall.sh **NOTE: If the Chelsio Unified Wire is already installed using one method and you decide to reinstall the package using the other, please make sure that the package is first uninstalled using the method it was installed with. e.g.If the package is installed from the source,uninstall it using the source only and not RPMs and vice-versa. 2.3. Loading/Unloading ---------------------------------------- For more information on loading/unloading individual drivers, please refer to the documentation in the ChelsioUwire-x.x.x.x/docs directory. 3.
